This strikes at a topic I have discussed before in that loan modifications really have not helped many homeowners over the last few years. This article even goes on to say that a short sale may be the best option for homeowners as opposed to a loan modification. It is nice to see that more people in the housing industry are realizing how valuable a short sale can be given the housing market around Tucson. It has always been my opinion that it is better to help people get out from under their bad mortgages as opposed to helping them stay in their underwater properties.
